This Week at Cross Church: From My Heart to Yours at Cross Church
Summer is coming and I want to share from my heart how thankful I am for our Cross Church family. Because of your support through prayer, volunteering, and financially, we are able to make available many opportunities to further the Gospel during the summer.
Summer Interns
We will soon have 18 summer interns on our campuses. This always excites me to see these young people serving in our different ministries, excited about sharing the gospel and training for their futures. They always breathe fresh life into our ministries during the summer months. In the next couple of weeks, we will introduce these interns and share more about them. I encourage you to get to know them and invite them to your home or take them out for a meal.
Our summer camps are about to begin! Please make it a priority in your family planning to have your students and children attend one of our summer camps. This is such an important time for them to grow and deepen their personal relationship with Christ. You can also help students who are not able to afford to attend camp by giving a partial or full camp scholarship to our Summer of Hope program of giving.
June 8-11 – Camp Dallas for our Middle School students
June 22-27 – Beach Camp for our High School students
July 20-23 – Kidz Camp for our 2nd thru 5th graders
Cross Church Circle
I cannot tell you how thankful I am for each of the 3,200 people who join me in our Cross Church Circle. You can join our Circle of Prayer at anytime. A prayer guide is emailed to you each month with specific issues I am asking you to pray over regarding our church. Go here and join us now!
As our summer season begins, I pray you will join us at your campus of choice each Sunday you are in town. We will be sharing God’s Word each week and joining in exciting worship. Bring your family or friends who might be visiting from out of town. Make it a family priority. Remember, you can activate Recurring Giving or give online from wherever you are to our Summer of Hope program of giving. We need your continued commitment over this 15- week period from Memorial Day to Labor Day as we support the many ministries of Cross Church.
Yours for the Great Commission,
Ronnie W. Floyd
This Week at Cross Church | Restoration, Summer of Hope, and Prayer Requests
I have some very exciting news for you today. Please take the time to read and embrace it 100%!
This coming Sunday, we have an encouraging message for each of us: “Hope For Restoration.” Our text is Revelation 21:4,
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will no longer exist; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.
Listen friends, invite people everywhere you go. This is a fabulous theme for Mother’s Day! Gather the people and let’s have a fantastic day to God’s glory!
From May 25 through August 31, we will have our annual Summer Program of Giving. This year, it is called Summer of Hope. During these fifteen weeks, our summer goal is: $4,950,000. This is the amount it takes to accomplish two things:
- Meet our Ministry Budget Goal during these fifteen weeks so we can operate at an optimum level, which is $4,850,000.
- Fund scholarship assistance for our summer camps in the amount of $100,000.
Therefore, combining these two amounts, we need God’s people to give a total of $4,950,000 during these fifteen weeks from May 25 – August 31.
Whether you are here all fifteen weeks or away a couple of Sundays for summer vacation, please give before you go, through technology while you are away, or upon your return.
Let me challenge you to join Jeana and me in what we call Recurring Giving or Online Giving. Each week, our giving is drafted automatically from our bank account. We use the Recurring Giving or Online Giving for our weekly ministry budget tithes and offerings, summer camp scholarships, and the Reaching Our Mission fund. Whether we are here or away, our giving continues! Join us!
Together, we can reach this goal of $4,950,000. It comes down to each one of us giving weekly, whether we are here or away, and honoring God with at least the first-tenth of all He gives to us. Join us in this journey. Let’s do it to God’s glory!
