This Week at Cross Church | Blessing Baskets Week Is Here

Blessing Baskets-blog

Now is the time to become involved in Blessing Baskets. You can serve, give, and pray. Everyone can find a way to support this grand effort to provide a meal to 3,000 families in our region. Some of you can sponsor an entire family for $25, many can sponsor two or more families, and others can sponsor ten or more families. You can contribute here or sign up to serve here. Pray for this strategic and effective reach into our community.

International Missions Offering Is Near Lottie Moon

Lottie Moon-blog1

Southern Baptists are reducing their mission forces globally by bringing home 600-800 missionaries. This is due to financial issues. The long-term solution is increasing our financial support through the Cooperative Program. Cross Church has been doing this annually. For a second year in a row we are scheduled to give at least $1 million through the Cooperative Program. Additionally, the short-term need can be addressed greatly by giving through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering For International Missions. Will you join Jeana and me as we give our largest gift to international missions in our lifetime? You can give to this offering in your weekly envelopes or through giving online here.

This will be a fabulous opportunity to invite someone to church on the evening of either December 6 or 7. Our entire Cross Church Choir will be together and the night will be filled with the sights and sounds of the Christmas season. I promise your family will enjoy it and be challenged.

I will see you on Sunday,

This Week at Cross Church | A Grateful Heart

Thank you for praying for me. I have been on a long run of travel since August. This next week, I will speak at the Alabama Baptist Convention in the greater Mobile region. Following that, I am not scheduled for another speaking engagement away until December. Today, I want to say again, thank you for praying for me and supporting me in this God-called moment. I am highly grateful to God for you and the Lord who is keeping me safe daily.

A Big Opportunity for Northwest ArkansasBlessing Baskets-blog

There is a Northwest Arkansas that most of our people know little about. It is the Northwest Arkansas that is in need of the basics of life, like food, clothing, and lodging. We must meet our neighbors at the point of these critical needs.

Blessing Baskets is one of the most powerful and wonderful ministries in our church. The #1 goal of this ministry is to help with food for Thanksgiving. You can go here to be part of this ministry by providing a Thanksgiving meal for a family for $25 each and sign up to volunteer. Thank you for assisting in this ministry. Many thanks to Doug Sarver and team for leading this dynamic ministry.

A Place for Compassion to be ExtendedCompassion NWA-blog

Our Compassion Center is located in Springdale at 2407 S. Thompson. If you have never visited, drop by and walk around. See what our church is doing together to make a difference in the lives of people with unique needs for the basics of life such as food, fuel, and clothing. As well, we are equipping people with basic life skills to engage our region as productive citizens.

Speaking of our Compassion Center, you can donate all sorts of items such as furniture, household appliances, clothing, and toys to assist in this ministry. Join me in donating to the Compassion Center. Thanks to Eric Vaughan and our team who lead and minister through our Compassion Center.

See you Sunday,

Ronnie W. Floyd
