This Week at Cross Church | Exciting Days at Cross Church
Jeana and I always look forward to Sunday at Cross Church, but this week will be special. We are excited to welcome guest speaker, Dr. Jason Allen to Cross Church. Dr. Allen is the President of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He is leading this seminary to be one of the fastest growing in the nation! Dr. Allen and his wife Karen have five children. You will not want to miss it!
Reaching Our Mission is our church’s way of doing more to reach our mission of reaching Northwest Arkansas, America, and the world for Jesus Christ. By giving above and beyond the first tenth to our Ministry Budget, we continue to fund our mission efforts here and around the world as well as our Cross Church School of Ministry. Join us as we prepare, send, and advance the Good News of Jesus.
The National Day of Prayer is two weeks from today on Thursday, May 5. Now more than ever before, we need to pray. The National Day of Prayer gives us an organized way to join with other believers across the nation and world. Find a prayer gathering near you to attend, and please spend time of focused prayer on that day. Jeana and I will be in Washington D.C., attending the National Day of Prayer National Gathering.
The Annual Meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention is only a few weeks away. The details are being finalized and we are preparing to welcome Southern Baptists from all over the world to St. Louis, Missouri. Our own Cross Church choir, singers, and band are preparing to lead our entire convention in worship. We are looking expectantly to our session dedicated to prayer on the evening of Tuesday, June 14, and seeing all God will accomplish at this year’s meeting. Anyone can attend the Southern Baptist Convention, and we would love for you to join us in St. Louis if you are able.
Summer at Cross Church for Kids and Students
Summer is full of opportunities at Cross Church for kids and students. Kids Camp and Beach Camp are in June, and July brings Middle School Camp and VBX. Begin planning now for your kids and students to attend and invite friends to come with them.
See you Sunday,
Ronnie W. Floyd
This Week at Cross Church | Spring at Cross Church
We are celebrating what God has done and will do at our new Fayetteville campus location. If you have not yet heard, visit crosschurch.com/vision to watch the video and learn more.
Reaching Our Mission helps us fund our missional efforts here and around the globe, and is above and beyond our normal tithes and offerings. Our heart in this is to prepare and send. Reaching Our Mission helps directly fund our preparation of future ministers through the Cross Church School of Ministry and helps us financially partner with churches in some of the least reached places. We hope you’ll join us as we partner together to reach Northwest Arkansas, America, and the world for Jesus Christ.
Compassion Center and Spring Cleaning
It’s spring, and a lot of us are thinking of cleaning up and getting ready for yard sales. Instead, consider donating those items to the Compassion Center. When you do, those donated items are offered to a waiting community, and the sales proceeds are returned right back to the community in the form of financial assistance for fuel, rent, utility, and clothing needs along with one of the largest needs in our region, food. We have helped over 3,000 people with hunger needs and project we will more than double that before the year ends. The Compassion Center is an independent, IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax deductible. Also, as a vendor, small business owner, or part of the corporate community, you can donate financially or with product to the compassion center with confidence. The Compassion Center has made it easy to make a difference in the lives of thousands in our community. For more information about donating or serving at the Compassion Center, email Eric Vaughan at ericv@crosschurch.com.
Sunday is coming, and we are looking forward to GIVE ME JOY! at all our campuses. Invite someone to join you.
See You Sunday,
Ronnie W. Floyd
