This Week at Cross Church | Dear Cross Church Family
When December 31, 2016, concludes, we need to make sure we have honored God with at least the first one tenth of all God has given us this entire year of 2016 through our local church. When we do this through our Ministry Budget, which is our first funding priority, these funds are utilized for Reaching Northwest Arkansas, America, and the World for Jesus Christ.
In addition to our routine giving, year-end gifts are an integral part of our Ministry Budget and allow our Church to do even more to fulfill our mission. During this Christmas season, we want to challenge you to prayerfully consider helping meet the needs of our ministry by doing these things:
- Please ask yourself “Have I given to God at least one-tenth of all my income this year to my local church as Scripture commands?” If not, please honor Him with a gift this December to catch-up.
- Please consider giving a special, ‘Happy Birthday’ gift to Jesus in December so that our Church can continue to help meet the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Northwest Arkansas, America, and the World.
- Please give a special gift to our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Joining with 51,000 churches and congregations, we are able to place missionaries across the world.
- Please also consider, our Reaching Our Mission Offering which funds our Cross Church School of Ministry, church planting nationally and internationally, and additional assistance for missionaries.
One creative way to give a special year-end gift is to donate stock directly to the Church. Stocks often increase substantially in value over time. If you have been one of the beneficiaries of this happy event, consider contributing some of your stock rather than cash to the Church. Such gifts usually result in significant benefits for both the contributor and the Church – in addition to God’s blessings.
We praise God for His wonderful blessings and your generous giving. Cross Church, we need you; we believe in you; and, we thank you for your continued generosity. Please remember, you are a part of the many lives touched for eternity at your Cross Church. Your investments in the things of God are the things that will last for eternity, and should be our priority in life. So, please make supporting your Church a priority this season. Should you need any assistance, please give Ben a call in the Church Office at 479-751-4523.

This Week at Cross Church | Sunday and the Christmas Season
Sunday Will be a Huge Day at Cross Church
In all Sunday morning worship services, we will continue our series Unwrapping the Gifts of Christmas. Then on Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m., we will experience Cross Church Christmas 2016, led by our Worship Ministries from all campuses. We will have a second performance on Monday evening, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. Choose one of these evenings and bring others with you. Last year, thousands attended and we believe it has potential to be full both evenings, so plan now to join us. Go here to watch an encouraging invitation for this Christmas experience and share it with a friend.
Generosity is a Real and Living Part of the Christmas Season
Before the final minute of 2016, be sure you and your family have honored the Lord with at least one tenth of all God has given to you. From any or all monies received this year from salary, bonuses, stocks, dividends, properties, or any other income, let’s be sure we end the year honoring God with at least the first tenth of all He has given to us. In addition to this, let’s join together to give a very special gift to our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Last year we gave the largest sum we have ever given to this offering. As well, if God has blessed you in an extra special way, remember our Reaching Our Mission offering, which funds our Cross Church School of Ministry, church planting nationally and internationally, as well as additional assistance for missionaries globally. As you pray and obey the Lord, we will pray God will bless you bountifully. You can quickly and easily give online here.

It will be special to celebrate the birth of Christ on the Lord’s Day. We will also be having a special time of baptism at each of our campuses that morning. You can find more information here.

When Disappointment Comes
Earlier this week, I released an article entitled, “When Disappointment Comes.” It may encourage your life, so I hope you will take a couple of minutes to read it and share with a friend.
I Look Forward to Seeing You Sunday at Cross Church!
