This Week at Cross Church | SBC Wrap-Up, We Believe, Summer Freedom, and Fireworks
The Southern Baptist Convention this week was phenomenal. The Lord blessed our time together and Southern Baptists from across the world came together to pray for the next Great Awakening and to reach the world for Christ. Cross Church Family, I am so thankful for all our volunteers in our choir and band who joined Julio Arriola and our Worship Team as he led as the Worship Leader for the Southern Baptist Convention. As well, thank you to all of our staff who ministered at the Southern Baptist Convention. They represented Christ and Cross Church well.
I am thankful for your prayers and support over the past year as I served as President of the Southern Baptist Convention. On Tuesday, I was honored to be nominated and re-elected to serve a second term. It has been an honor and privilege to serve the past year and I will need prayer more than ever over the coming year. Thank you for your prayer and support, Cross Church.
We continue our WE BELIEVE series on all campuses this Sunday. This week, we will be focusing on what we believe about the Kingdom of God. During this busy travel season, make it a priority to be with us on Sundays when you are in town. We’ll also be worshipping with our choir and band that represented us so well in Columbus. I promise you will not want to miss it.
Summer Freedom and Fireworks at the Crosses
Sunday morning, June 28, attend one of our Summer Freedom Celebration worship services. That evening, invite your friends and family to join our entire Cross Church family for our 8th annual Fireworks at the Crosses at our Pinnacle Hills Campus. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us for our baptism at the crosses, followed by a patriotic celebration featuring live music and fireworks. This is always a special time and I look forward to it every year. You can sign up for baptism or find out more information here.
Yours for the Great Commission,
Ronnie W. Floyd
This Week at Cross Church | This is a Critical Week
This will be a critical Sunday at Cross Church. We will continue our WE BELIEVE series and I am convinced God is going to use this Sunday at Cross Church in a major way. Unquestionably, this is a critical week for our church.
The Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting formally begins Tuesday, June 16 and concludes at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. Your church is right there in the middle of all God is doing in Columbus, Ohio. What Southern Baptists do together matters much to our country and world. This is why I ask you to pray for me as I serve in this role as President of the Southern Baptist Convention.
I have updated this prayer list from our Cross Church Circle. As you read through this list, you will know how to pray for us while we are involved in the Southern Baptist Convention. Thank you for praying for us.
