This Week at Cross Church | VBX, Fireworks and Baptisms, ALL IN
If you haven’t yet signed your kids up for VBX, take a moment to sign up now. VBX will be held on all campuses next week, July 11 – 14. The theme is Submerged: Discovering the Treasure of God’s Work! Fireworks and Baptism at the Crosses
This past Sunday was a great time for our Cross Church Family. In the morning, we celebrated our freedom in America with Tony Perkins. Even with the threat of rain in the afternoon, approximately 7,500 people gathered at our Pinnacle Hills campus as we enjoyed time with families and friends, observed as 63 people followed the Lord in baptism under the crosses, and watched a spectacular fireworks show. This is most certainly one of my favorite days of the year at Cross Church, and it did not disappoint. Enjoy this recap video and plan now to join us next year.

Highlight Video of the 2016 Southern Baptist Convention
Our incredible communications team here at Cross Church has produced a highlight video of the 2016 Southern Baptist Convention. Their goal was to give a digest of some of the moments. They have gone through 17 hours of video footage, condensing it in this 20-minute highlight video. You can watch it below.
This video may be just a personal blessing to you or something you may want to share with your church or through social networking. To God’s glory, we left St. Louis after back-to-back historic days. Let these highlights encourage you about our cooperative work to reach the world for Christ.
Following next Wednesday, I will not be writing any articles for the next few weeks. The only exception would be if something occurs I feel compelled to address. So unless this occurs, for the next few weeks, I will not be operating on the same writing schedule as the past two years. Each Wednesday we will feature a guest writer, and it is my prayer these articles will be a unique blessing for each of us. We will also continue with our weekly This Week at Cross Church article for our church family.
Rest and diversion is good for all of us. If you feel impressed to pray for me, please do so. Be sure to pray daily for the new president of our convention, Dr. Steve Gaines.
