This Week at Cross Church | Fall Kick Off, New Series, New Church Year!

I want to speak with you about three important things for this Sunday. Please take a few moments to read these words from my heart.

Fall Kick Off is SundayKickoff 2015-blog

The beginning of school means it is time for Cross Church to kick off the fall. Soon, many of us will be in stadiums engaged in the fun of football. It is the best time of the year!

Simultaneously, we need to engage even more and exhibit even greater enthusiasm for the Lord, His work and His Church! Beginning this weekend, engage in worship, a small group, and find a way to volunteer to serve somewhere in ministry this fall. There is a way!

Recapture the PRIORITY of Sunday in your life and church! Whatever the culture states, Sunday is still the Lord’s Day. Church is the #1 priority on the Lord’s Day.

By the way, if you have been away, I do hope and trust you will make up in your financial giving for the Sundays you have been away. Weekly, we are to honor the Lord with at least the first tenth of all God has given to us. Thank you for your faithfulness.

New Series This Sunday: SEX TODAYSex Today1-blog

For the next five weeks, we are going to see what God’s Word says about human sexuality. As we anchor this series in God’s Word, it will be so very relevant to your life and America. Whether you are a teenager or in the senior years of life, whether you are single or married, this out of control sexual revolution is affecting your life. Therefore, we want to equip you to walk through the challenges.

Do not miss one week of this 5-week series. Bring someone with you. Bring families with you. They will be encouraged by this series.

New Church Year

This Sunday begins a new church year.  Pray for our team as we evaluate our church and ministries over the last 52 weeks. While we charge toward the future, we want to learn from our past.

What were our strengths over these past 52 weeks? What were our weaknesses over these past 52 weeks? We spent an afternoon session of our recent Staff Advance listening to our Campus leaders and respective teams declare our three biggest weaknesses on each campus and what we were going to do about them immediately. We are working to serve the Lord and His church in the highest manner.

Pray for us. We want to lead Cross Church to be all God desires for it to be for today and the future!

Now is the Time to Lead,

Ronnie W. Floyd
