This Week at Cross Church | Easter Wrap-Up, Hearts Ablaze, A.D., 2 Important Articles, and a Month of Evangelism
We are so grateful to God for what the Lord did on Easter weekend through the ministry of Cross Church. Thousands of people heard the Good News on our campuses. Additionally, we saw 59 people baptized for God’s glory and we saw 84 people profess faith in Christ last week. To God alone be the glory!
I would be remiss if I did not thank all of our volunteers who helped us during our fifteen worship opportunities last weekend, plus Friday night and the daily luncheons. Additionally, I give God praise for our worship and technological teams, who did a tremendous job last week. I am also grateful for our Ministry Team, who helped us forward the mission.
This coming Sunday, we will be teaching on Luke 24:13-35 with a message called Hearts Ablaze! Please take the time to read the passage before Sunday and pray for us as we finalize all preparations. Invite others to join you.
Did you watch last Sunday night’s premiere of A.D. The Bible Continues? It was fabulous and I want to encourage you to watch it weekly. It was the #1 show in America last Sunday night and trended as #1 on Twitter. It also logged NBC’s highest drama debut this season.
If you missed the premiere last week, you can catch up on Sunday night by watching the first episode at 7 p.m. before episode two premieres at 8 p.m. on NBC. This major network television show will permit you to have some great witnessing conversations in the coming weeks.
Please take the time to read two important articles we posted this week. First, Monday’s blog article, Why Spiritual Awakening? Look At What God Is Doing In Cuba. Many have asked about my recent trip to Cuba. This will give you some insights about it, but more importantly, what God is doing in that country.
The second article I’d like you to read is a guest post from Dr. Jeff Crawford, one of our Teaching Pastors and President of our Cross Church School of Ministry. The article is entitled Replacement Church: 3 Reasons Christians Skip Church. His insights are terrific and the truth he communicates is important for all of us to hear and embrace.
Month of Evangelism With Ken Freeman
During the month of April, our friend and gifted evangelist, Ken Freeman, will speak across our ministry and campuses. On Easter Sunday, he preached at our Neosho Campus. Fourteen people came to Christ. Last night, he preached again at the Neosho Campus.
Ken will minister over the next three weeks at each of our campuses:
- April 12: College Avenue Campus
- April 19: Fayetteville Campus
- April 26: Springdale and Pinnacle Hills Campuses
During these weeks, he will also speak in various venues on all of our campuses as well as in the community. Pray for Ken. Let’s pray for a great harvest on each of our campuses. Invite and bring people who need the Lord on these Sundays on the campus you attend.
Yours for the Great Commission,
Ronnie W. Floyd
