This is John Moore at FBC Branson. I am one of the EC members who was not able to make it driving to Nashville and very sorry I missed. I was formerly a member and elder at UBC Fayetteville during the tumultuous time of HD McCarty’s last year there. You came and spoke to us members of the Search Committee when we were getting hammered pretty hard, and will never forget how you encouraged us to press on. I was so grateful for a loving and affirming voice of reassurance from you and have never forgotten. We moved to Branson shortly thereafter.
Your message which I missed at the EC meeting, really ministered to me as I watched it today from beginning to end. If I had not been a Southern Baptist, I would have gone out and found an SBC church and joined!!
I appreciate your stand for the Gospel and love you in Jesus. Looking forward to seeing you in Columbus!
