This Week at Cross Church | From My Heart to Cross Church
As your pastor, let me share several things on my heart.
Sunday Message: “Change Through Prayer”
Sunday morning, we will be bringing God’s Word on the subject of “Change Through Prayer.” I really believe you will be highly encouraged. If you want to go to a new level in your life, be here on Sunday morning. I promise, if you bring a friend, they will walk away with greater faith.
Cross Church Family Worship Night, 5:00 p.m.
This Sunday at 5:00 p.m., our Cross Church campuses will meet together on our Springdale Campus for our quarterly Cross Church Family Worship Night. Let me share several highlights:
- Annual Business Meeting
- Outstanding worship by our choir, band, and Worship team, as well as children’s choirs
- Communion
- Preaching of the Word of God
- Ice cream fellowship and inflatables following the service
- Childcare through 5th grade
Do not miss Sunday night. It will be exciting and special. Bring others with you.
Mark Your Calendar for October 26: “I’ll Be 1” Sunday
Save the date, October 26, as a day you must be involved in here at Cross Church. It is “I’ll Be 1” Sunday. Do not let anything disrupt your attendance at Cross Church on that day. We have special experiences planned and it will be a fabulous day. Right now, begin to invite people to come with you. We want everyone here on “I’ll Be 1” Sunday.
New Ministry Budget Begins October 1
On October 1, we will begin a new Ministry Budget at Cross Church, pending church approval on September 28. The budget is reachable, but not without the full support of God’s people. Please join us in the journey of financial giving. If you have never consistently given what is called “the tithe,” it is 10% of your income. Hundreds and hundreds of our families do this weekly and many give way above the tithe. How? By faith. They had a beginning point, so if you do not already tithe, launch into the deep blessings of God with us on October 1. At this time each year, Jeana and I always increase our financial giving. We will do so again this year. Here is what hundreds of our families and I know: You cannot out give God. Please join us in this exciting journey.
I Spoke About the Crisis in Iraq This Week
This week, I had the opportunity to speak to the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. I spoke about not only our need for spiritual awakening and revival in America, but the crisis in Iraq. You can read more about it here.
Finally…
Friends, please know Jeana and I love you.
Yours for the Great Commission,
Ronnie W. Floyd
